Due to internal movements a vacancy has arisen for a Teaching and Learning Dean for an interim period of six months.  The newly appointed Interim Teaching and Learning Dean will work closely with the Pro-Vice-Chancellors for Education and as part of the team of Teaching and Learning Deans to provide strategic leadership and direction for all Teaching and Learning matters across the University. 

Each Teaching and Learning Dean has specific responsibility for leading a range of University-wide strategic Teaching and Learning priorities and they work closely with Heads of School and School Directors of Teaching and Learning in designated Schools. They also are responsible for a particular portfolio of Teaching and Learning activity that aligns with the priorities of the University Strategy, although all Teaching and Learning Deans will be expected to contribute across all aspects of the Teaching and Learning agenda as a part of their remit. 

Candidates for the position of Interim Teaching and Learning Dean are expected to have demonstrable, relevant and recent leadership and managerial experience in teaching and learning e.g. as a School Director of Teaching and Learning, a track record of achievement in Teaching and Learning and should have achieved, recognition from the HEA or equivalent.
