We are seeking an enthusiastic technician to join our team in this central University research facility, presenting an excellent opportunity for a motivated technician to fulfil their potential.  

Duties include general upkeep of the facility and its high hygiene and welfare standards. This will require the operation of specialist cleaning and disposal equipment, maintenance of stock, logging of routine data and other activities to support the team.
Duties will also include day to day, ethical care and welfare of small animals housed in the facility, this will consist of: Cleaning, feeding, watering, weaning, health checks and treatments.

You must explain, in your application, how you meet the following criteria:

•    Able to actively participate in and work as part of a team
•    Good Communication and IT skills
•    Basic knowledge of health and safety policy and procedures affecting self and others
•    Able to lift, move and position equipment and materials safely e.g. goods, equipment and chemicals
•    Able to carry out allocated, prescribed tasks to time and to the standard required
