We are seeking to appoint a Cleaning Services Manager for an interesting and varied role in the Campus Services Department within the University’s Estates Function. You will manage a team of Cleaning Operatives, Supervisors and Assistant Cleaning Services Manager to provide Cleaning Services across the University Estate and tenanted areas which include the Whiteknights Campus, London Road Campus, some residential properties and cleaning for small businesses based on site and at the Thames Valley Science Park.
The successful candidate will be an excellent manager who is astute and proactive, customer focused and relates well to university colleagues, students and visitors. You will be capable of motivating your team to achieve and provide the best service they can.
You will:
• Have strong effective communication skills with people at all levels, both written and oral with excellent command of spoken and written English and demonstrating diplomacy and perception.
• Have substantial work experience in a similar role in a large complex organisation
• Have previous experience and knowledge of working in a cleaning services environment with outstanding customer service relationship skills
• A good understanding and working practice of Health & Safety policy and procedures relating to Cleaning
• Have experience of successful team and financial budget management
• Have excellent organisational, administration and prioritisation skills to work to and meet deadlines
• Excellent IT Skills and abilities enabling the production of clear and concise reports and statistical information.
• Be an advocate of change, team working and strong customer service ethos
