The University of Reading is looking to appoint an Assistant Student Recruitment Officer to work at the centre of one of the most crucial areas of the University’s activity. Sitting within the Global Recruitment and Admissions function, the team is responsible for the recruitment of UK and International undergraduates and postgraduates and for widening participation.

This role will have responsibility for the support and delivery of a coordinated suite of personalised digital messaging specifically targeted to encourage applications to our undergraduate and postgraduate taught courses.

This role will involve supporting the coordination and maintenance of a range of different communication plans, copywriting and creating content as well as testing and reporting on communications.

The role is full-time and fixed term until January 2024.

You will have:

  • Excellent written communication skills, including superb written accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good organisational skills
  • In-depth knowledge of the higher education sector and the student recruitment cycle
  • Experience creating and/or delivering communication plans
  • Experience using technical systems including CRM and email/direct messaging systems
  • Experience creating marketing emails
