The role is responsible for administration to support the Credit Control front office function. Tasks include:​​​​​​​

  • Manage email boxes pertaining to relevant tasks from students and colleagues
  • Referring to accounts of students that have left the University but have a balance remaining on their account
  • Assessing the validity of any balance by consulting immediate colleagues in the Credit Control Team and other departments within the University
  • Contacting students. Initially by email, but will involve some telephone work
  • Liaising with the University Refunds Team to ensure any refunds are paid correctly
  • Keep detailed and accurate records of all credit control and database maintenance activity undertaken
  • Checking new account requests against existing accounts
  • Provide copy invoices, statements, customer registration and e-portal administration
  • Give clerical support to the Student Credit Control function

You will have:

  • Good communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Accuracy
  • Ability to communicate at different levels
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Good GCSEs or equivalent
  • MS Excel
  • Knowledge of Outlook
  • Ideally Worked in medium to large accounts environment
  • Dealing with customer queries
