There is a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Technician to join our diverse and dynamic team, to assist in the delivery of effective high quality Operations support including stock control, provision of materials and supplies and maintenance activities associated with specialist areas.
As part of our Operations Stores team you will assist with receipt and delivery of goods and Stores service activities, ensuring that goods are processed according to Standard Operating Procedures in a timely manner. You will undertake stock control and record keeping of supplies and materials, including laboratory coats, liquid nitrogen, glassware, biologicals and chemicals to meet the teaching and research needs of staff and students. Health and Safety training will be provided in all aspects required of the role.

As a general guide we are looking for:
- Good general education to equivalent of CGCEs, NVQ2, City and Guilds. Other qualifications will be considered.
- The willingness to work as part of a diverse team, follow instructions and ensure procedures are adhered to.
- A proactive approach with good interpersonal and communication skills.
- The ability to work carefully and accurately using your own initiative.
- Good IT skills and be familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel or equivalent software.
