We need an Associate Professor in Filmmaking to join this lively and creative department to provide leadership in the teaching of critically informed film and television practice.

This post has been created to enhance provision of practice teaching within the Department’s programmes, to facilitate deeper industry engagement in both teaching and research, and to provide students with stronger connections to potential careers. The development of major film and television production facilities at the University’s Thames Valley Science Park creates exciting opportunities and we are seeking to recruit a candidate with the skills to engage in this area.

You will have:
-    Excellent teaching skills, including the ability to teach critically informed film and television practice;
-    A developing profile of world-leading and/or internationally excellent research outputs in film or television; 
-    A PhD in relevant part of the field 
-    Relevant industry and academic experience.
-    Good administrative skills 
-    Enthusiasm and commitment; be flexible, caring, proactive and skilled in teamwork.
