The University of Reading School of Law wishes to appoint an outstanding lecturer in intellectual property law to further enhance our academic faculty. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic community with a global outlook and a focus on academic excellence. This lectureship is available on a teaching intensive basis. The successful applicant will take an appropriate role in the ambitious teaching and learning agenda of the School of Law, as well as the wider aspects of the student experience. Successful candidates will be also expected, as part of a balanced workload and appropriate to the level of the post, to conduct scholarship which enhances the reputation of the School.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering excellent teaching on modules, including IP Law and at least one core undergraduate modules (the School has a particular need for additional land lawyers);
  • Contributing to programme development and/or module design;
  • Contributing to the wider student experience;
  • Enhancing the School’s reputation and environment for scholarship;
  • Contributing to administrative tasks in the School of Law as appropriate to the level of appointment.
