The University of Reading and Stantec are working collaboratively on an exciting Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) to create an approach that quantifies social value outcomes to enable informed decision-making, so that better strategic land development projects are delivered with better community, climate change and commercial outcomes. The position is a 24-month fixed term contract based full-time at Stantec in Reading, Berkshire. Remote and flexible working is supported. It is possible for x2 part-time job-share positions for this role, with salary pro-rata accordingly.

About KTP:
This position forms part of the Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) funded by Innovate UK. It’s essential you understand how KTP works with business and the University, and the vital role you will play if you successfully secure a KTP Associate position.
The successful candidate must possess:
• PhD or equivalent relevant experience in Planning, Architecture or Urban Design. Minimum Masters degree in relevant subject (Geography, Planning, Architecture, or Urban Design)
• Evidence of commitment to social value in placemaking and working with communities
• Skills in synthesising complex information
Essential skills we require as a minimum:
• Strong analytical, graphic, oral and written skills
• Able to work comfortably within a large team and independently
• Able to effectively communicate both technical and non technical information and engage with a wide range of stakeholders, ranging from members of the public to key clients
• Demonstrate the desire and ability to lead on a commercial project with an understanding of the multi-dimensional nature of a KTP project
