The School of Psychology and Clinical Language Sciences at the University of Reading is looking for a postdoctoral researcher in developmental psychology/neuroscience and autism. The initial appointment will be for two years, with the possibility of a renewal. The researcher will be joining a multi-institution project funded by the MRC Global Challenge Research Fund.
The primary objective of the project is to develop, test, and refine a mobile platform that incorporates neuropsychiatric tests for early detection of autism in low-resource settings. Partner institutions on this project include Harvard University, Birkbeck University of London, Nottingham Trent University, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Indian Institute of Technology, and Public Health Foundation of India. The postholder is expected to contribute to the design and implementation of the mobile platform, as well as analyse data collected by the platform to be reported in conferences and peer-reviewed publications. S/he will receive strong mentoring with well-established scholars as part of this project, and be supported in developing new ideas.
You will have:
- PhD in a relevant discipline (psychology, neuroscience, psychiatry)
- Experience in experimental design and analysis
- Clear evidence of having published peer-reviewed papers on relevant topics
- Experience of running studies with young participants
- Good organization and project management skills
