The University of Reading (UoR) is investing in its web presence. At this time we require a Business Analyst for 18 months (with a possibility to extend further) to support a programme of work to migrate web content to appropriate platforms. Working within the Business Change Team and other Business Analysts, and alongside Marketing Communications & Engagement (MCE) and Content Management Systems (CMS) teams, the main responsibilities will be managing multiple and complex stakeholder concerns with regard to the migration of content and related website requirements whilst continuing current work on content audit and cleansing.
You will have:
- Business analysis experience, preferably within a web or CMS based, or digital transformation environment.
- A full range of Business Analysis tools and techniques experience, and the ability to apply these at the correct time.
Desirable:
- ISEB Diploma in Business Analysis or similar.
- Experience in waterfall, agile, hybrid environments, including JIRA
- Familiarity with wireframing and other user-centred design tools techniques and artefacts.
The ability to:
- analyse and report on existing, and various types of, content in a structured way;
- translate content data into reports for stakeholders to make informed decisions;
- analyse and document points of integration with other internal or external systems;
- carry out, and fully document, requirements elicitation workshops and end-user interviews to elicit new platform and site requirements;
- translate such requirements to appropriate deliverables including requirements catalogue, use cases and/or user stories that encompass the AS-IS/TO-BE website design and related content artefacts;
- create specifications for the development teams;
- record and document project considerations and potential changes scope;
- design and carry out user acceptance testing process and procedure to ensure new components, integrations and page designs test meet requirements.
