The Careers team at Reading helps students achieve careers and jobs they love. At the University of Reading we support 15,000+ students across 33 departments. Our team of 35 staff make sure students have plenty of opportunity to meet employers, develop their career skills and achieve internships, placements and graduate jobs all over the UK and internationally.

To enhance the existing Career Consultancy Team’s ability to engage and support a diverse range of students and new graduates, we are seeking a student facing Careers Training and Support Adviser. This person will work with students both individually and in groups to support all aspects of career learning and training. In this role, you will:
•    provide one to one career coaching appointments to students;
•    help to design the Careers central programme of events;
•    deliver high quality, inclusive training activities including webinars, workshops and large lectures on a range of careers topics;
•    support Careers Consultants in the delivery of school based curricular and co-curricular teaching.

•    are an excellent communicator and like working with a diverse range of people;
•    have the ability to empathise with people going through career choice decisions;
•    have experience of delivering training to small and large groups;
•    are a team-player;
•    can engage students in a contemporary and outcome-oriented way.
