Reading University is seeking to appoint a person to fulfil a new role of Crop Technician, at its Sonning Farm site. The Farm consists of 450 acres and currently has over 30 acres of field scale plots and poly tunnels.

The role requires the applicant to assist the University’s Crop Research Unit for 3-months over the summer months.

This stimulating and varied role will require the post holder to have an inquisitive mind, and a flexible approach to their work.

You will have:

  •  A good knowledge of crop production.

  •  A mechanical aptitude and some basic workshop experience.

  •  Tractor driving competence would be an advantage.

  •  Full Driving Licence
