A leading edge development opportunity to use novel insights from behavioural finance and quantitative analysis of large data sets to provide new products for Independent Financial Advisors and Fund Managers which will improve retail investor decision making. The position is a 24 months fixed term contract.   

About Dynamic Planner:
Dynamic Planner Ltd is a ‘FinTech’ company servicing the financial advisory industry. The main product, Dynamic Planner, assess the amount of investment risk a person is prepared to take and helps the adviser find an appropriate investment product for their client.   The KTP Associate will be employed by the University of Reading and based at Dynamic Planner’s office. On successful completion of the KTP project, there is a possibility of permanent employment by Dynamic Planner.

About KTP:

This position forms part of the Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) funded by Innovate UK.  It’s essential you understand how KTP works with business and the University, and the vital role you will play if you successfully secure a KTP Associate position.

Skill development through training:

There is a £2k pa dedicated training budget tailored towards your own personal development plus management skills training. 

The successful candidate must possess:

  • PhD in psychology or a closely related subject with a strong desire to apply this knowledge to the financial advice sector

Essential skills we require as a minimum:

  • Excellent written and  oral communication skills
  • Ability to explain complex concepts to a wide variety of audiences at different levels
  • Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills to oversee and manage the KTP project
  • Ability to interact within a commercial financial  environment and ideally with a long-term career goals to work in this sector
  • Well organised with the ability to multi-task, numerate and motivated to work to deadlines
