Do you have experience of budgeting and monitoring in a complex organisation? We are looking for an Assistant Finance Planning & Strategy Analyst to join our team at The University of Reading, a global university that enjoys a world class reputation for teaching, research and enterprise.

The successful candidate will have a good working knowledge of financial modelling and forecasting skills, with experience in working within a large complex organisation, commercial or not for profit. You will work with the academic Schools and Services to assist in delivering the School and University strategy. This role provides analytical information and support to the Finance Business Partners (FBP) and Head of Financial Planning and Strategy. This roles supports the production of the financial forecasting models in COGNOS. 

You will have:

-    solid background in financial analysis or management accounting
-    experience of monthly accounts preparation and production of complex budgets
-    excellent numeric and reporting skills with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
-    strong, clear and concise communications skills
-    experience of financial forecast modelling ideally with COGNOS/TM1 software
