The School of Psychology and Clinical Language Sciences is seeking to appoint an outstanding lecturer in Clinical Psychology, who will develop and deliver high quality clinically orientated teaching on our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and contribute to clinical research at Reading.

The priority for the post is the ability to develop and deliver high quality clinically orientated teaching on our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. We welcome applications from both clinical psychologists and from individuals who are not, but have a strong research trajectory in mental health services. They should be able to contribute to the highly collaborative, inter-disciplinary and collegiate research environment at Reading. Applicants are required to have an in-depth knowledge of, and ability to teach, cognitive behavioural therapy.

You will have:

  • Qualification in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy) or a Doctorate (PhD) in a clinical area
  • Extensive knowledge of the theory and practice of cognitive behaviour therapy
  • Experience in teaching clinical psychology / CBT in a Higher Education setting
  • Committed to excellence in teaching and research
  • Good organisational and interpersonal skills
