The Museum of English Rural Life and Special Collections is seeking a skilled and experienced museum learning professional to support and deliver the provision of Widening Participation activity aimed at inspiring young people to enter higher education.  You will work as part of thriving Learning and Engagement team based at the Museum and link across to the University of Reading’s Global Recruitment (UK and Outreach) staff. This role is fixed term for 3 years.

  • You will have excellent oral and written communication skills
  • You will be a confident presenter with good knowledge and experience of museum learning and an understanding of secondary and tertiary education.
  • You will have a good knowledge of data collection methods and experience of collecting evaluative data
  • You will have extensive experience of organising events and activities in a museum, library or archive setting.
