Exciting opportunity to join our leading Sustainability Services team to lead energy and sustainability behaviour change programmes across the University. You will oversee the University’s Energy Management System and support the delivery of energy, carbon and water reduction projects in support of the University’s ambitious sustainability targets.

Opportunity to apply your communication and sustainability skills by joining our leading Sustainability Services team to deliver energy and sustainability awareness and behavioural change programmes across the University’s staff and student community.

You will work closely with the Energy & Sustainability Manager and Energy Analyst in the management of the University’s Energy Management System, ensuring good energy practice is embedded across the University.  This will include identification of opportunities for energy, carbon and water savings, and support in the management of approved projects to ensure their successful delivery.

You will have:

  • Successfully delivered behaviour change programmes in a large organisation
  • Experience of organising and delivering small events, including good presentation skills
  • A good understanding of opportunities for energy, carbon and water savings, including building controls. Providing advice on maintaining good organisational sustainability credentials
  • Experience of using web and social media platforms as communication and engagement channels
  • A good working knowledge of energy legislation and Energy Management Systems such as ISO50001
  • Prior experience of utilities contracts and invoices and handling financial information, with good analytical skills
  • Good organisation and prioritisation skills with the ability to deliver to tight deadlines
  • Ability to demonstrate problem solving skills, initiative and creativity
  • An understanding of science laboratory equipment and practices would be an advantage
