Employment Basis/Type: Fixed-term for up to 3 years

We seek talented and imaginative scientists to carry out research on sea level change and ocean heat uptake as projected by global climate models, using novel experiments and diagnostic techniques. We are advertising two posts within the climate programme of the National Centre for Atmospheric Science, each for three years (less if appointed at a high salary in the range), to begin within the next few months, in related projects funded by the UK Natural Environment Research Council.

You will have:

  • PhD in mathematical or physical science
  • Strong physical insight, analytical ability, creativity and self-motivation
  • Knowledge of and interest in climate change science
  • Research experience involving AOGCM or 3D ocean modelling and analysis of large datasets
