The Property Services team is seeking a Commercial Surveyor to work in our busy team. This varied role will be key in assisting the team to manage the university’s investment property portfolio.

The portfolio includes: c. 300 residential lettings, commercial lettings (including offices, retail, industrial, storage, leisure, agriculture and telecoms towers),  and 1,000+ acres of land with an asset value in excess of £150 million.

The Commercial Surveyor will be responsible for providing commercial oversight of the investment property portfolio. This includes proactive asset and property management, for example:

  • Development and implementation of the commercial strategy
  • Marketing, negotiation and letting of properties
  • Management of lease events (rent reviews, lease renewals etc)
  • Management of service charge budgets
  • Related commercial property management tasks
