We are looking for a Finance Planning & Strategy Analyst to join our team at The University of Reading, a global university that enjoys a world class reputation for teaching, research and enterprise.
The successful candidate will have strong reporting and forecasting skills, with experience in working within a large complex organisation, commercial or not for profit. You will work with the academic Schools to assist in delivering the School and University strategy. This role provides analytical information and support to the Finance Business Partners (FBP).
You will have:
- Solid background in financial analysis or management accounting
- experience of monthly accounts preparation and production of complex budgets
- excellent numeric and reporting skills with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- strong, clear and concise communication skills
- confidence to challenge existing processes and recommend process improvements where necessary
- skills to provide analytical advice and support to senior management
