We seek to appoint an experienced and talented rowing coach to join Reading University Boat Club’s existing coaching team. You will assist the Director of Rowing to develop our highly successful rowing programme.

You will need the confidence to deal with rowers at all levels from novice to senior internationals. Strong communication skills alongside excellent rowing knowledge and the ability to work well in a small team are essential.

 

You will have:

- The ability to work with the minimum of supervision and to be able to demonstrate a flexible approach to work

- Extensive knowledge of rowing coaching and training

- A good knowledge of river safety and the British Rowing codes of conduct

- Experience of boat rigging & maintenance

- Confident in the preparation of crews from novice through to elite

- Excellent communication and motivational skills
