The School of Psychology and Clinical Language Sciences is seeking to appoint a clinically experienced, qualified SLT to the position of Clinical Teaching Fellow in Speech & Language Therapy.  We are looking for a passionate clinician who specialises in adult speech/language/communication disorders to join our collegiate, research-active and highly regarded team of academic and clinical staff.

The appointed individual will wish to share their knowledge and experience by delivering high quality clinical teaching and supervision to students on our highly regarded undergraduate and postgraduate Speech and Language Therapy programmes as part of our friendly team. We welcome applicants who have relevant clinical experience and experience of teaching and supervision of students on Speech and Language Therapy programmes.

The position is available on a part time (3 days a week), fixed term basis for up to 9 months, starting in September 2022 or as soon as possible thereafter.

You will have:

  • Speech & Language Therapy qualification and be HCPC registered
  • Experience of clinical practice, specialising in adult speech/language/communication/EDS disorders
  • Experience of teaching/training in a Higher Education setting
  • Experience of supervising SLT students on clinical placements
  • Commitment to supporting an excellent student experience
  • Commitment to professionalism in undertaking responsibilities and in interactions with colleagues and students
