Job Description
The School of Chemistry, Food and Pharmacy (SCFP) is seeking to appoint a teaching-intensive lecturer in physical chemistry, whose time will be divided between physical chemistry teaching in the early years of our degree programmes and helping to maintain and develop the School’s internationalisation agenda.
The appointed candidate for this teaching focused post will be expected to provide high quality and innovative teaching within the broad remit of physical chemistry, supporting the delivery of teaching across undergraduate programmes in the Department of Chemistry. The successful candidate will lead, manage and develop our internationalisation activities, including the BSc Applied Chemistry programme which is delivered in partnership with Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology (NUIST), and provide support to international students across the School.
You will have:
- Experience of teaching physical chemistry at undergraduate level;
- A track record or commitment to developing innovative teaching activities;
- Experience of working with international students;
- Awareness of university quality assurance processes
