We’re looking for a proactive and detail-focused Finance Administrator to join our Campus Commerce team at the University of Reading. In this varied and collaborative role, you’ll support key financial processes across the function — from raising purchase orders and invoices, to preparing month-end data, resolving finance queries, and helping to refine and improve our systems and processes.

You’ll work closely with colleagues across the University, using your strong numeracy, Excel skills, and problem-solving ability to provide accurate financial information and ensure our processes run smoothly. You’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to process improvements, develop user guides, support training, and assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.

The role is based at the University of Reading Whiteknights campus, with possible hybrid working arrangements for up to 2 days a week working from home.

You will have:

  • Excellent numeracy, report-writing, and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail with an organised, methodical approach
  • Ability to work under time pressure, prioritise workload, and work both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent Excel skills and experience analysing financial and budget information

Interview Date : 16th December 2025
