An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the University’s award-winning Sustainability Team as our new Sustainable Travel Officer. You’ll lead the delivery of a the 5-year Travel Plan, shaping how our community travels between campuses and reducing the environmental impact of business and commuter travel.
You will have (compulsory):
- Previous experience in either an environmental-related or travel-related role, with experience of travel planning and managing Travel Action Plans,
- Experience in effectively communicating in order to influence decisions and build relationships. As well as the ability to collaborate and engage a diverse range of people across departments and with local partners, to drive forward improvements and encourage real behaviour change and the uptake of active and low-carbon forms of travel.
- A proven ability to collect, analyse, and report on travel data
- A proven ability to use your organisational skills to deliver sustainable travel initiatives using your project management skills - from active travel and low-carbon commuting to smarter business travel - helping the University achieve its ambitious Net Zero Carbon goals.
