Key Duties:

  • Install underpinning software on current high-performance computing (HPC) systems and emerging Exascale platforms
  • Develop, maintain and run complex modelling workflows
  • Troubleshoot and resolve specialist user queries
  • Develop and maintain data management services
  • Manage internal CMS infrastructure; including improving the CMS web presence and working with CMS group members to produce documentation and showcase recent work.

You will have:

  • Proficiency in at least one programming language: Python, FORTRAN, C, C++
  • Familiarity with modern software development and software engineering practices
  • A Undergraduate degree (or equivalent) with a strong numerical or computational component (or equivalent experience)
  • Good problem solving skills and desire to overcome technical challenges and improve existing systems
