The University of Reading School of Law wishes to appoint a further outstanding Associate Professor in EU Law to further enhance our academic faculty. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic community with a global outlook and a focus on academic excellence. The successful applicant will take an appropriate role in the ambitious teaching and learning agenda of the School of Law, as well as the wider aspects of the student experience. Successful candidates will conduct research which enhances the research reputation of the School (in the latest Research Excellence Framework we doubled our percentage of 4* outputs and 99% of our research was judged to be world leading, internationally excellent or internationally recognised).

You will have:

  • A recognised record of research excellence in EU Law, commensurate with the level of the post;
  • An ability to conduct high quality (4* and 3* REF) research;
  • An internationally recognised expertise in EU Law;
  • Emerging global research esteem;
  • Ability to provide excellent teaching to UG and PG students in EU Law;
  • The ability to provide excellent supervision to PhD students;
  • Experience of academic leadership and wider contributions to academic life;
  • A well developed 5 year research plan;
  • A willingness to play a significant role in the everyday life of the Law School.
