This exciting new role sits within the Marketing and Campaigns Team of the University of Reading’s (UoR) External Relations directorate. In recognition of the fundamental importance of campaigns in driving awareness and student recruitment, new investment has been made to expand the Campaigns Team which this role will lead.
The purpose of this new role is to engage potential students and their influencers, in UK and international markets, at all levels, through innovative and distinctive advertising, social media and other digital projects, inviting them to experience the University of Reading brand and inform and inspire their decision-making.
You will be responsible for managing the creation and delivery of UoR advertising campaigns, developing insight-led creative and media briefs with input from relevant stakeholders and project managing campaigns through to final execution working with colleagues across the Directorate and agency partners.
You will be comfortable managing multiple, integrated campaigns simultaneously across digital and print channels, above and below the line.
You will also be instrumental in developing the UoR’s capacity for a dedicated recruitment-focused social media strategy and plan, developing content streams and working collaboratively with colleagues and students across the directorate.
Working with the Director of Brand and Marketing, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the ideation and support the delivery of innovative brand engagement projects, designed to build brand awareness of and engagement with the Reading brand.
We are looking for a values-driven individual join our team and become Campaigns Manager for the Sustainable University of the Year 2025.
The purpose of this role is to engage potential prospects in home and key international markets through advertising, social media and other digital projects, inviting them to experience the University of Reading brand and inform and inspire their decision-making; ultimately to make Reading their first-choice university;
You will have :
- A good undergraduate degree or relevant campaigns’ experience
- Experience of developing paid and social campaigns
- Experience of developing content strategies and working with Content Creators
- Experience of working with web teams to create campaign landing pages and creating effective, sticky student journeys
- Experience of having worked with a CRM and developing nurture tracks
- Strong project management skills
- Experience of developing integrated campaigns
- Proven record of developing and delivering innovative and distinctive campaigns
