Working within the Global Student Recruitment (GSR) Team, you will manage the portfolio of University and donor funded taught course scholarships for international and UK students and the provision of progress reports for sponsored students.
This varied role reflects the significant expansion in recent years of the funding opportunities that the University is offering prospective undergraduate and master’s students. A broad skills set is essential – as well as managing the promotion and allocation of a wide range of scholarships there will be the need for liaison with internal stakeholders and external sponsors, project work and a proactive approach to exploring further enhancements to the University’s scholarship proposition. The successful candidate is going to be someone who demonstrates excellent organisations skills alongside an innovative mindset.
The person appointed will have:
• A strong understanding of how to position scholarships within an HE environment
• The ability to work effectively within a team or independently, embracing digital technology as appropriate
• Excellent relationship management skills that take into account of the need to work collaboratively, often within strict timescales
• A proactive and creative mind-set complemented by the capacity to work towards the accomplishment of clearly defined goals, making effective use of available resources
