Software Engineer Role for the development of a music-assisted learning platform
You will have :
- A good degree in Computer Science or similar
- Good knowledge of software engineering, mathematics and digital signal processing
- Good time management, organisational and communication skill and be able to work creatively and proactively in a team
- Experience in Python Programming, Integration Engineering and Version Control
UItra Rapid is a music-assisted learning platform, built in Unity, designed to support children who struggle with traditional learning methods, with particular focus on those who are neurodivergent. Our intention: “Sounds Like Spotify, Looks like Twitch, Feels Like Nintendo”. The concept won Thiiia the Just Imagine If (2024) research grant from the University
This software engineering role focuses on the early development stages of Ultra Rapid involving planning, optimising and integrating the tech stack for the platform. This will involve novel audio and visual integrations into the Unity game engine.
You will work with Felix Weaver from Thiiia and Professor Richard Mitchell from the Department of Computer Science
