Job Description

The University’s Online Courses (OC) team, based within the Centre for Quality Support and Development (CQSD) is looking to hire a Digital Learning Producer.

You will work collaboratively with your OC team colleagues, expert Educator teams, students and key internal and external stakeholders to create short, non-credit bearing, online courses, mostly for the FutureLearn digital learning platform.

You will manage the complete course lifecycle from design, production and launch to evaluation and refinement and will be responsible for creating accessible, engaging, online courses/digital learning resources which:

  • Support key University strategic initiatives.
  • Reflect the University’s production and quality assurance values and those of our partners.

You will have:

  1. A first degree or equivalent.
  2. Knowledge of pedagogic principles and applying best practice in digital learning design.
  3. The ability to plan, design and manage the development and production of a range of engaging digital learning resources to successfully support the learning needs of a clearly defined, target audience.
  4. The ability to work independently and communicate effectively to build and sustain positive working relationships with multiple stakeholders.
  5. Experience of simultaneously managing the development and delivery of multiple digital learning resource/online courses to a deadline
  6. The ability to copyedit and proofread to a high standard with careful attention to detail.
