Job Description

This is an opportunity to be part of the newly created  Department of Digitalisation, Marketing and Entrepreneurship (DME) at Henley Business School, a triple-accredited business school with an international reputation. DME comprises a multidisciplinary team of about 50 academics and researchers plus administrative staff. The team seeks to recruit a new lecturer in Marketing who can make positive contributions to this new department through enthusiasm in working in this diverse team and achieving excellence through high quality teaching and impactful research. .

You will:

  • Carry out duties and responsibilities that comprise a combination of teaching, research and administration, as agreed with the Head of Department or delegated person.
  • Contribute to teaching that will include any combination of undergraduate and postgraduate lecturing. Project/dissertation supervision and personal tutoring, together with the appropriate assessment and feedback will be part of the portfolio of work.  The growth ambitions of the School and the Department will lead to collaboration on the future development of teaching and learning.
  • Contribute to the School’s excellent research and dissemination of findings which create impacts inform teaching wherever possible..
  • Take on administration work that may include elements of module convening, academic leadership of teaching programmes, organising research initatives and a variety of necessary roles as agreed with the Head of Department.

You will have:

  • A PhD in Marketing or related subject (or very close to completion) Specialist knowledge of theories and contemporary practice in marketing
  • Record of high-quality research outputs
  • Evidence of high-quality teaching at undergraduate, postgraduate and/or post experience levels
  • Strong oral and written communications skills
