Working primarily with the Agriculture, Food & Health theme, you will be contributing to the development of high quality research grant applications and the generation of research income at the University of Reading.
The Assistant Research Development Manager will join another Assistant and a team of three Research Development Managers, supporting the Agriculture, Food and Health Theme. This team works together with the research development team supporting the Environment Theme to form the wider science theme’s research development team, led by a Senior Research Development Manager.
You will have:
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively, both orally and in writing, with a diverse range of stakeholders
- Ability to progress numerous projects at any one time and to prioritise and manage own work flow
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and tight deadlines
- Awareness of research funding sources and mechanisms in the UK and overseas
The role holder will join a wider team of Assistant and Research Development Managers supporting the Agriculture, Food & Health theme alongside those from other themes to jointly develop and submit high quality research grant applications, on the University’s beautiful green Whiteknights campus which has won 14 consecutive Green Flag awards. The University provides a generous annual leave package of 26 days plus an additional 8 closure days which include bank holidays, and operates a flexible working policy.
