Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Act as invigilator:

Run the exam in the individual room

Maintain exam conditions

  • Ensure the student’s reasonable adjustments are implemented
  • Ensure exam scripts and materials are returned to the Exams Team after the exam
  • Additional specialised support (you will be asked if you are willing to cover these roles):

University of Reading exams vary in length from 1 to 3 hours and most students with complex reasonable adjustments are allowed extra time and/or rest breaks, so finishing times will vary.

Most exams for students with complex reasonable adjustments are finished by 6pm but occasionally an invigilator may need to work later than this due to the complexity of a student’s arrangements.

Invigilators must remain on duty until the end of the exam they are covering.

Rate of pay:

£12.48 per hour + holiday Pay
