Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an experienced financial planning and strategy team. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and keen to pursue a recognised accounting qualification (CIMA/ACCA)

This post is part of the Finance Planning and Strategy team, led by the Deputy Director of Finance, and includes Business Partners (FBP), Analysts and Accounts Assistants.

This trainee role will assist with providing analytical information and support to the Finance Business Partners (FBP), providing relevant and reliable financial and management information alongside customer focussed support to budget holders and other stakeholders across the University.

You will have :

  • Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
  • The ability to organise and prioritise work accurately
  • Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Excel amongst others
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A willingness to commit to continuous professional development, including studying for the ACCA or CIMA. Professional accounting qualification
