Job Description
The Global Recruitment Team (International) – GRTI – plays a lead role enabling the University to achieve its ambitious international student recruitment targets, as well as helping it build its profile and presence in countries around the world. It is part of the External Relations Directorate (ERD), which includes UK student recruitment and outreach, admissions, applicant engagement (conversion) and marketing, communication and engagement teams.
The Digital Communications Co-ordinator is a placement year role, designed to give a University of Reading student the opportunity to take advantage of their experiences of being a member of the University student community in order to build closer relationships with prospective international students through digital communication channels. This will also be a career development role for the post holder, intended to equip them with a broad skills set that may help them progress their career in marketing and communications.
It is essential for the post holder to be a University of Reading student.
The preferred candidate will have:
- Outstanding communication skills including the ability to present effectively and creatively to diverse audiences
- Excellent writing, editing, presentation and communication skills with photo/video editing skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Experience of using social media channels and monitoring tools
- Understanding of engaging an international student audience.
