Join the University of Reading’s UK Recruitment and Outreach team to support prospective students and applicants, with a particular focus on students from a widening participation background.
You will be responsible for the delivery and further development of a strategic programme of outreach, recruitment and conversion (post-application) activity in the South West, as well as providing occasional cover in South Wales. You will also lead on the project management of intensive widening participation projects supporting students from across the UK, with support from other Regional Officers in the team.
You will have:
• A first degree or equivalent
• Experience of working within a student recruitment, outreach or similar role
• Evidence of building and developing strong working relationships with a wide range of people
• Strong project management experience
• In-depth knowledge of the UK higher education sector and the student recruitment cycle, including post- application timelines
• Ability to work independently and work to objectives with minimal supervision
• Demonstrable understanding and knowledge of UK secondary and tertiary education sector
This part-time (0.6 FTE) role will be based in the South West (preferably around Bristol) and will require frequent travel around the region. You will need to maintain regular contact with colleagues based in Reading, as well as travelling to the University of Reading main campuses when necessary.
