Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated, professional and experienced Executive Administration Manager to provide exceptional support to the School of Agriculture, Policy and Development (SAPD) and our commercial farm business, including Hall Farm, Arborfield and Sonning Farm. This role involves managing high-level administrative activities, supporting the smooth day to day operations of the farm and its staff, and working closely with the Farm Manager and Research Manager, to whom they will report.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Farm Business Administration: Support planning and resource allocation, manage interactions between teaching, research, and the commercial farm, and assist with budget monitoring, requisitions, and invoice management. Oversee record keeping and accounting processes.
  • Research Administration: Provide financial overviews, assist with staff time-sheets, contract costings, and project financial management. Liaise with University departments for research grants and budget management.
  • Communication and Coordination: Facilitate communication between Farm and Research Managers, manage information for School staff, and act as secretary for committees.
  • Liaison with External Stakeholders: Serve as an intermediary between stakeholders and researchers, organise external visitor arrangements, and attend stakeholder events.
  • Buildings and Site Management: Oversee maintenance, equipment servicing, and space allocation. Coordinate with University departments on construction, housing, and security.
  • Personnel Management: Monitor employment contracts and compliance with HR procedures.
  • Legal Compliance: Ensure adherence to Health & Safety, data protection, and environmental regulations.
