Job Description

In Careers, at the University of Reading, we work in an institution which values us as teaching and learning partners. We are now looking for a highly organised, confident communicator with project management experience to lead on and develop two new student facing awards (relating to sustainability and global outlook).


The Awards Co-ordinator will build relationships with key stakeholders internally/externally and take an innovative approach to engage students with extra-curricular activities. This role will work closely with the Projects Manager as these awards will sit alongside our well-established employability award, the RED Award.


The role is available on full-time hours on a fixed-term basis for 12 months.



You will have:

  • A natural ability to take ownership of a project and have the drive to ensure its successful implementation
  • Proven record of effectively managing multiple projects including experience of report writing, interacting with students and meeting objectives
  • Experience of working with a diverse group of stakeholders
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, flexibility and willingness to problem solve
  • Good IT skills and experience of working with databases and platforms/systems
  • Good knowledge of current issues in higher education particularly in relation to enhancing student experience
  • Experience of designing and delivering training events and workshops
