Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join the University of Reading’s award-winning Careers Centre as a Projects Assistant (Careers) and work on the administration and student facing elements of careers schemes as part of a wider team.  

This role will be primarily responsible for efficient administration of the Thrive Careers Mentoring programme and the Reading Experience and Development (RED) Awards as well as offering support to the Projects Manager (Careers). and some student promotion, recruitment, training, and engagement.

 

You will have: 

  • Excellent organisational and planning skills and the ability to prioritise, work well under pressure and meet deadlines.  
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including rapport building and diplomacy. 
  • A good range of IT skills including word processing, excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint. 
  • Experience of using databases to input and extract data. 
  • Good customer/client services skills.  
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
