About us:
The School of Agriculture, Policy and Development, based within the University of Reading, is looking to appoint a Marketing Coordinator.

Internationally recognised for its teaching and research activities, the School’s expertise spans a diverse range of subjects, covering crop and animal science, international development, sustainable land management, agrifood economics and marketing. The role:
Supporting the School’s Marketing, Communications and Media Manager you will assist with and coordinate a range of marketing and events activities that raise the profile of the School and support student recruitment.

You will play a fundamental part in supporting all aspects (the administration, organisation and implementation) of our marketing activities, including: publicity and events, the development of our internal and external facing profile, content generation for/and the delivery of materials across numerous digital and traditional platforms, while also contributing to the development of our evolving marketing strategy.

We are looking for someone with a passion for marketing and communications who has:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills demonstrated by your accomplishments to date
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building abilities to enable you to work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Good time management and organisational skills to assist in the day to day activities and event management
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure as priorities evolve
  • Works well in a team, and autonomously
  • Good administrative, organisational and IT skills and is keen to engage with new tools
  • Work experience in a marketing role
  • Eagerness to learn on the job

This role is ideally suited to those wishing to pursue a career in Marketing Communications.
