Job Description

The School of Mathematical, Physical and Computational Sciences is looking for an experienced administrator to join their talented and busy administration team based within the Department of Meteorology at Whiteknights campus, Reading.

The role is focused on providing high quality, professional administrative executive support to senior academics, their groups and PhD students within the department and will include project support and event management. More information on the day to day duties can be found in the Job Description for the role.

You will have:

  • Experience of working within a busy office environment in an administrative role
  • Experience of supporting projects and event management
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to balance competing priorities and meet set deadlines
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others to achieve team goals
  • Ability to ensure effective liaison and excellent communication with a range of internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Familiarity with on-line processes and web-based systems
  • Adaptable to the changing needs of the department, project and the team
