Job Description

The role is offered for a fixed term period of 12 months to cover maternity leave.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced administrator to join our Academic Development and Enhancement team within the Centre for Quality Support and Development.

You will primarily offer professional administrative support for the University’s FLAIR Framework for new and experienced teaching staff. This will involve: developing an understanding of the University’s policies and processes in order to advise staff on participation in the programme; managing participant records and assessment through the University’s RISIS database; providing reports to a variety of stakeholders including Heads of School and HR; and offering individual support and guidance for applicants, participants, mentors and assessors mainly via email.


You will have:

  • Experience working in a demanding administrative role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues at all levels, both verbally and in writing
  • An awareness of teaching and learning support in Higher Education and ideally experience of working with a complex database or Virtual Learning Environment
  • Attention to detail and exceptional organisational skills, including the ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritise work accordingly.
