Job Description

You’ll be working 36 hours a week for 30 weeks of the year, starting 2nd September 2024.


This role offers the opportunity to make a contribution towards the success of our teaching and research in Pharmacy and health-related subjects.


Your primary duties and responsibilities will be to prepare, setup and support undergraduate and postgraduate practical classes, deliver critical safety training to students and undertake, as part of the team, a range of research tasks that enable quality science. You’ll be involved in the face-to-face teaching of students in the laboratory as well as pharmacy clinical suites which includes medical manikins and recording facilities.


You will need to have a passion for working with students and academic staff. You will also need to be equally confident to work in the laboratory supporting and leading on undergraduate practical classes and clinical skills workshops. You will need to proactive identify tasks that need to be done, be methodical in your work, helpful and conscientious.



You will have:

  • The ability to identify and recommend improvements in ways of working or procedures.
  • Significant experience in operating equipment required for the study of Pharmacy or other health-related activities
  • Attainment equivalent to achievement of HNC, AS/ A-Level, NVQ3 in a Biology or Chemistry related subjects.
  • Show an information technology (IT) aptitude
